Located in one of Madrid’s most emblematic streets, Alcalá 58 is a historic building that reflects the city’s architectural elegance and cultural legacy. Built in 1877, it showcases classic Madrid-style façades, with ornate detailing, wrought iron balconies and grand arched windows.

Over the years, Alcalá 58 has housed various prominent institutions and businesses, becoming a symbol of prestige and tradition. Its privileged location, just steps away from landmarks such as Cibeles and Gran Vía, makes it a highly sought-after address.

The residence has been fully renovated, preserving the building’s historic charm while adapting the interior to modern standards of comfort, functionality and design.

Founder of EFC Creative Studio

Entrepreneur, art collector and founder of the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, Ella Fontanals-Cisneros has built a career shaped by the intersection of art, architecture and design.

EFC Creative Studio grew from this personal vision: a sensibility developed over decades, with close attention to proportion, materials and the way each space is lived.

Alcalá 58 is an expression of that vision. EFC initiated and coordinated the project, bringing architecture, interior design, execution and a carefully considered selection of materials together within one coherent residence.

Precision in execution

The renovation was developed through a coordinated planning and execution process, designed to translate each design decision accurately into the finished residence. The early integration of interior elements, technical installations and finishes allowed every material junction to be carefully resolved and the project’s coherence to be maintained down to the final detail.
